Scouts in Ashburton
SCOUTS HAVE RETURNED! …… but for how much longer?
After closing some eighteen years ago due to lack of leadership, Scouting for the 10-14 year old
has resumed in Ashburton following the success of the Beaver Colony (6-8 years) and the Cub Pack (8-10 years).
Where do the Leaders come from? They come to Ashburton from Teignmouth, Moretonhampstead, Buckfastleigh, Staverton and Somerset – but NOT Ashburton!
However, the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts do live in Ashburton and its
surrounding villages.
Why not Ashburton: Surely there must be Leader potential in Ashburton? Surely we want Ashburton people to lead our own Scout Group?
Like to talk about our own based scout group and how you can help? Phone Jane on 01626 773903. Jane would dearly love to not have to travel from Teignmouth each Monday evening so that Ashburton can have its own Scout Group.
